El comité constitucional Egipcio comienza a trabajar mientras descuida y excluye a las mujeres juristas
Las instituciones y organizaciones han firmado a continuación esta declaración en desaprobación de los criterios y formación de la Comisión Constitucional, cuyo comité no incluye ni una sola mujer experta.
El avance de un comité de este tipo, provoca temores y sospechas en relación con el futuro de Egipto y la fase de transición por la que pasa en la actualidad después de presenciar la Revolución del 25 de enero.
Esta cuestión plantea una pregunta fundamental en lo que respecta a la democracia y a los principales objetivos de la revolución inicialmente enunciados como : igualdad, libertad, democracia y la participación de todos los ciudadanos.
Nos queda cuestionar los criterios según los cuales los miembros del comité constitucional son elegidos, ¿Se basaron en criterios políticos o en los valores de igualdad y justicia, enunciadas por el revolución?
Si los criterios se basan en la eficiencia e integridad, entonces ¿por qué son las mujeres juristas excluidos a pesar de que Egipto tiene muchas expertas juristas ya sea en el Tribunal Supremo Constitucional o en las Facultades de Derecho.
Creemos que en la medida en que las mujeres egipcias y también participaron en la revolución con los hombres egipcios y algunas de ellas han sido encarceladas, están aun desaparecidas, mientras que otras incluso han sido martirizadas, tienen el derecho a participar en la construcción del Nuevo Estado egipcio sobre la simple base de la ciudadanía.
Sin embargo, tenemos confianza en la discreción del Consejo Militar en la guía de Egipto hacia la democracia.
Por lo tanto, estamos haciendo esta declaración de hoy haciendo hincapié en los valores de la ciudadanía y participación de las mujeres, específicamente en la Comisión Constitucional en este momento.
